Dr. Prakash received his Master's in Microwave Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, India (1992) and Doctor's degree from Indian Institute of Science, India (2000). 

He worked as a scientist in Electronics & Radar Development Establishment, DRDO, India from 1993 to 2000. 

He is a recipient of Young Engineer award (1999) from Indian National Academy of Engineering, Savitha Choudhary Memorial Medal and P.S.Narayana Medal for the best Ph.D. Thesis in the Division of Engineering Sciences, IISc, India for 1999-2000 and several Republic Day awards from DRDO. 

Currently, he is working as a Post Doctoral Researcher at the Pennsylvania State University, USA. His fields of interest include computational electromagnetics and antenna design & analysis. http://www.personal.psu.edu/vvp2
