Ji-fu Ma received the B.S. and M.S. degrees, both in Electrical Engineering, from Beijing Institute of Technolory(BIT) in 1992 and 1995, respectively, and the Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering from the Institute of Electronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IECAS) in 1998. From 1993 to 1995, he was a Research Assistant in Computational Eelctromagnetic Lab and Microwave System Lab of the Electrical Engineering Department at BIT. From 1995 to 1998 he was a Research Assistant at the High Power Microwave and EM Rafiation Lab at IECAS. Currently, he is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Electromagnetic Communication Research Lab of the Penn State University.His research interests include modeling, simulation and optimization of complex, electromagnetic systems using various numerical techniques including the FDTD method; numerical/signal processing algorithms; neural networks.
